Nice: second destination in France for business tourism
For more than 30 years Nice has been France’s second congress destination, after Paris.
One attraction is ease of access: Nice’s international airport (12 million passengers, the second airport in France) offers direct flights to over 110 destinations in France, Europe and the rest of the world. With more than 10,000 rooms of all categories Nice also boasts more hotel accommodation than any French city outside Paris; most of the establishments are located near Acropolis and the town center, making it possible to host major events at all times of the year.
Nice, looking to the future
Located on the shores of the Mediterranean, enjoying 300 days of sunshine per year on average, Nice is naturally a privileged destination for event organization.
But Nice is also a dynamic Metropolis, developing the technologies of the future: an internationally-recognized “smart city”. It is also an ecological city, with at its heart the green corridor of the “Promenade du Paillon”; an eco-responsible city thanks to its tram network, the second line of which will shortly link the airport to the town center and the port. Thanks to the “Eco-valley” project several new neighborhoods will be created to the west of the city, including Grand Arénas with an international business district, a retail area and an 80,000 m² Exhibition Park, and Nice Méridia, Nice’s future urban science park.
